Ella's crawling!!!

Before this weekend, Ella was just doing (what I call) the "sit and shimmy." Since the end of June, she's been able to sit up unaided. I thought that she would skip crawling because her next milestone was to pull herself up from a sitting position (as long as she had something to hold on to). She likes to stand. But yesterday, we started to notice that she was able to move her body literally from one spot to another: a "shimmy and scooching of the butt." Tonight, we tested her... placing her rubber ducky way beyond her reach. She would have to "move" towards it to reach it. Guess what? She did! Afterwards, she turned towards us and gave us a proud smile. It was adorable!
