A couple of weeks ago, we received the surprising and exciting news that Ella got a spot at Golden Oak Montessori. Typically, they accept only 27 incoming first graders. But this year that number decreased to 16 because the other 11 slots went to siblings of current students. Also this year, there were over 100 applicants. Our chances, I thought, were pretty slim, especially since selection was by lottery. We are thrilled that her name was picked and are looking forward to the start of Ella's new educational adventure.
